Point Pleasant Beach – Beaches in NJ
There is both public access and private beaches in Point Pleasant Beach. The southern end of town is comprised of a public access beach. Lifeguards are present from 9 am to 5 pm each day. Entrance is on Ocean Avenue.
To the north, you will find Bradshaw Beach. There is a small shed which sells seasonal as well as daily beach badges. The area of the boardwalk is owned privately. Access to this beach is monitored at all entrance points. Daily and seasonal beach badges can be purchased at these entrances. In addition, Martells offers access to the portion of the beach immediately surrounding the Tiki Bar. Here, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are served by waitress service.
In the summer, Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk gets pretty crowded! Friday and Saturday Nights are packed with visitors from all over the area. Weekdays are typically not crowded until school lets out in mid June. The municipal parking lot is metered and a quarter buys you 20 minutes. There are also a few private pay lots that charge from $4.00 to $20.00 depending on the crowds and the time of year. You will find metered parking on Ocean Avenue and a few adjacent streets. If free parking is what you have in mind, be prepared to walk a few blocks!.
