Lakewood Airport is located closeby to the central business district of Lakewood in Ocean County, NJ. Its a public use airport and is owned by Lakewood Township.
This airport offers the township’s corporate and industrial clients the opportunity to be located in a very desirable area while still being in the main stream. Fixed wing and helicopter charter services are available or clients can fly themselves in to conduct business.
Recreational flyers and two aero clubs have rediscovered Lakewood Airport. Following a complete rebuilding of the runway and taxiway with the addition of services, the number of resident aircraft has risen from less than 20 to over 70. The Civil Air Patrol with its search aircraft remains an active user of the airport. Flying lessons, orientation flights, charters, banner towing, transient parking and other services are available.
